Law Enforcement: DON’T smoke it in public. You WILL get arrested and go to jail. Period.
Spots: Basically, the way marijuana is sold here is through private connections. There really is no street scene for drugs. Of course, you could go to downtown Phoenix, around 15th Avenue and Washington, where the homeless bums sell you very poor-quality herb for a few bucks, but that is hardly what I cal a proper “street scene.” You have to know someone, and that can take some time. What I did when I first moved here in 1990, was I went to a large mall. I wore a tie dye, and I had long hair as well. So i just went up to every kid or stoner-looking dude and asked for a light for a cigarette. If they seemed halfway friendly and cool I would ask them where I could get some weed. After a few rejections, I finally got hooked up. But that was 15 years ago. My current connection has been selling pot in Phoenix for 20 years, and he’s very reliable.
Head shops: Quite a few, actually. Look for Trails, Headquarters, Hippy Gypsie (in Tempe), and DJ’s. they sell accessories (pipes, bongs, etc.) only.
Our most recent report is: “You almost always have to know someone. But you can meet people at Arrowhead/Metro Mall”
Marijuana Prices in Phoenix: Quad of some dank, indoor chronic = $100. Shouldn’t pay more than that.
180 for half ounce, 280-320 for ounce. Mersh in arizona is horrible, usually brown, seedy. Christmas buds around winter time are nice though. 60 for an ounce. 20 for 7 grams. 30 for half oz.
Marijuana Brands: A few words about quality. You would think that since Arizona sits right on the border with Mexico that we would be getting really good bud, what with all the smuggling activity going on here. You would think that, and you would be wrong. All the really good pot goes east, where it can be sold for at least twice as much as what you would pay for really good weed here. But honestly, we’re happy when we get what I would call the high end of middle of the road pot. What’s going around now is medium quality with a few seeds and red hairs, not too harsh and a decent high. But during the late summer there’s basically a drought, and what you do get is usually very poor.
Mostly reg and better reg. Its hard to find any dank
