Marijuana Laws & Legislation for Ipoh

Marijuana is strictly illegal in Malaysia, with one of the most severe cannabis policies in the world as of 2025. Cannabis is considered a dangerous drug, and possession, trafficking, and cultivation are met with severe punishments. The penalties for marijuana trafficking can include the death penalty if the quantity exceeds a certain threshold. The government has not shown any inclination to relax its stance on marijuana, and medical cannabis remains illegal. Despite international discussions surrounding marijuana legalization and medical use, Malaysia’s drug laws remain firm in prohibiting all forms of cannabis use and cultivation. Those caught with marijuana can face long prison sentences or even the death penalty.

Please note that marijuana laws are subject to change. For the most current information, consult your countries official resources or legal counsel.
