You can’t just walk down the street with a J or a bowl, but you can smoke a few hits at the bars, especially during shows. Otherwise smoke it at your home at least in your backyard or on your patio.

another reporter added: “Denton city & sheriff have dogs, as does the UNT university police.

They are very harsh, small amounts that another place may discard, they will bust you for. Even a joint within a certain distance from a church or school is a felony (including UNT & TWU”

Ok the 4.6 legal scale is HORRIBLY wrong.
I would pit it somewhere around 3 or 2. Law enforcement here is DRACONIAN.
I have never herd of a Denton cop letting someone with weed go. Marijuana possession is the number one arrest made in Denton county, and the cops actively pursue marijuana users. They pursue marijuana more so than any of the larger cities in Texas, like Houston Dallas and Austin. there is almost no difference made between .5 grams and 4 ounces. If you are caught with any amount of weed, you will be arrested and you will wind up with 6 months to a year of probation. During probation you are not allowed to leave the state of texas and you get random drug tests. One marijuana arrest can easily cost over $6000 in legal expenses, also your mugshot will pe publicly posted on google. Worse of all, the cops actively partroll the places kids go out and smoke, the randomly pull cars over and if you look under 26, they are likely to search you.

I can back all of this up with solid sources, PLEASE PLEASE change the smoking legal level. The general population accepts pot, but the legal system does not!
