Law Enforcement
Alot of police in Boone. Campus cops, city cops and state troopers. However, they seem to understand that a college town in the mountains obviously will result in pot-smokers. Unless you are way too suspicious, the cops don’t go after you. They want the big dogs.
Locals put it in these terms: “The younger cops in Boone and the surrounding towns tend to be total pricks, however the more experienced cops often don’t concern themselves too much.”
Where to buy marijuana:
-King Street. It’s downtown and filled with small businesses. Just look for your stereotypical stoner…funny how stereotypes are usually right hmm? There is a store called the Bead Box which sells beautiful glass.
-Campus. The campus is located very close to the downtown area. Be discreet, but don’t be afraid to ask around. Boone is never totally dry, someone will have herb. the key is to NOT BE SKETCHY.

Boone is an excellent town. Nestled high in the Blue Ridge mountains, it posesses some of the most stunning scenery in the world. stroll downtown on a nice afternoon and you may hear live music (mostly bluegrass) coming from a quartet that plays when the weather permits. Everyone is very friendly, the food is delicious and the buds are all kind. Check out locally-blown glass at the Bead Box or grub down at Our Daily Bread. After you find some herb, go hiking off of the parkway or any of the other many trails around. Just ask a local, most are more than willing to give directions. Also there is a store in the New Market Center called Expressions that is a sex/gag/smoke shop and you can generally find some decent glass and other pieces there.
