Law Enforcement: The cops in DC have “real crime” to worry about. Narcotics enforcement tends to focus on crack, heroin, and the like rather than the sweet tasty herb. Most people that get busted in DC are involved in transactions on the street. Keep it out of sight, and you’ll be fine.

Where to buy marijuana in Washington D.C.: DC is a college town- American, Catholic, GW, Georgetown, UMD, GMU, SEU, Howard, and others. Weed is everywhere. If you’d have trouble fitting in with the college crowd, asking around at the local dive bar in your neighborhood is a good place to start. Stay out of known “drug areas,” as they are likely to be targeted by the narcs.

Additional info was provided by a knowledgable local: “DC is not only a college city but a drug city. There is weed all over the place. Most of the hotspots that people are afraid to go to are actually not as dangerous as people make them out to be (however there is always an inherent RISK in scoring drugs so please readers keep this in mind ALWAYS). The dealers in these open air markets are really just trying to make some money. Police might be patrolling the area or parked in some of the open air markets but believe me, after 10 years of dealing with this city I have never been messed with by a district police officer. South Capitol Street is a good place to score. Up the road to the left in Greenleaf terrace area is an awesome place to score. You’ll know when someone has something in D.C. because they will shout at you. Further down and across the Anacostia River you can score just about anything but it is very dangerous and NOT recommended!!

Area’s like Barry Farms are not quite the safest in particular, so stay clear unless your local and know your way around. Area’s in Northwest are the same deal. Around clubs like love or heaven and hell are good places to score. Just ask around. You can find almost any drug in D.C. very quickly. The further north you go the better chance you have running into some very good pot. Most of Northeast is to be avoided and well as the greater southeast due to violent crime. Be safe in the District , and try to not travel alone.
