Smoking tolerance level [1= very illegal 5=virtually legal]: 3
Legislation: Marijuana is illegal in Panama, and so is any related action.
Law enforcement: I did not see any law enforcement during my 2 night stay here, i think they are preoccupied with better things to do than to bust weed-seeking tourists.
Where to buy marijuana: After about an hour of asking around, we got pointed in the direction of a small outdoor shop in a fenced in and grassy backyard of a house just a block or so away from the flower filled park in the center of town. The vendors were selling handmade pipes and bongs, so we asked them where we could find some herb. A man about 24-29 years old named Daniel told us he could help us out.
Marijuana prices: We could only buy in 10 dollar denominations from our source. He hooked us up with about 4 or 5 bags of weed. Each came in a paper-wrapped little packet. If i had to guess, id say there was about 3 grams of weed in each paper packet.
More Information: The weed was nothing special and comparable to most central american weed. Our source informed us that all the weed from the area comes from Columbia as it is a neighboring country and can export easily and cheap.
