Stillwater, OK, Oklahoma

Smoking tolerance level [1= very illegal 5=virtually legal]: 3

Legislation: Possession of any amount of marijuana is punishable by up to one year in jail for the first offense and 2 – 10 years in prison for subsequent offenses. Conditional discharge is available to first time offenders.

Law Enforcement: If you’re smoking in your apartment, or preferably your house, you are very unlikely to be bothered. The police tend to be more active at night time and in party neighborhoods, more in effort to keep the peace and/or catch intoxicated drivers. Much more of a drinking town, and the young drunk college students attract a lot more attention from pigs than do quiet, paranoid pot smokers. In the daytime, they’re only looking for traffic violations. Best bet is to go down a country road and smoke if you insist on doing it in your car, and just drive the speed limit.

Where to buy marijuana: If you go on campus at OSU and look for hippie-looking individuals, usually in the lawns outside the Student Union (when weather permits) or by the art building near Eskimo Joe’s. The best bar to look for it is called “Stonewall Tavern” which is on this road called Knoblock. Another marijuana-friendly place is called “Hideaway Pizza”, the employees usually have dreads and all of them wear tie-dyed clothes, and after some rapport-building, they could point you in the right direction, at least. Everyone is really friendly in Stillwater as long as you are respectful enough to not be obvious about it. Another place is outside the local movie theatre on Perkins Rd. You have to buy your movie ticket outside, and you’ll often see stereotypical-looking stoners outside. The good stuff almost always has to come through an established connect.

Marijuana prices: Schwag: 3.5 g for $10, 7.0 g for $20, 14 g for $30-35, 28 g for $60-65 and up.

Mids/Beasters/Pretendies: 1.0 g for $10, 3.5 g for $30-35, 7.0 g for $55-65, 14 g for $100-115, 28 g for $190-225

KB/Exotics (varying in quality and price) 1.0 g for $20, 3.5 g for $60-75, 7.0 g for $120-145,14 g for $220-80, 28 g for $400-500 and up.

Brands: these vary because most of the bud in Stillwater comes from neighboring Tulsa and Oklahoma City (moreso OKC – cheaper price for same thing usually), or northern Texas and Colorado sometimes. I’ve seen grapefruit, juicy fruit, sour nyc diesel, Green Crack mmmmhmmm!

More Information: We only have one crappy head shop, called Mike’s (in downtown Stillwater), which sucks because that store is a joke of a head shop with cheap, breakable pieces for outrageous prices (someone please come end this monopoly!)

Tulsa, OK, Oklahoma

Smoking tolerance level [1= very illegal 5=virtually legal]: 3

Legislation: Possession of any amount of marijuana is punishable by up to one year in jail for the first offense and 2 – 10 years in prison for subsequent offenses. Conditional discharge is available to first time offenders.

Law enforcement: Stay away from the west side of Tulsa, particularly the north side of the river, ie. Charles Page blvd. Way too many police. Also, the North side is the more dangerous side; dangerous by cops and gangs more so than mid-town or s and e. Cops are unreasonable all over, from my experience.

Cops are everywhere in Tulsa. It’s best to buy during the day because nobody is around at night except for cops. Tulsa is in the “Buckle” of the “Bible Belt”. This means that almost all cops will bust you as hard as they can if they find weed on you.

ANOTHER REPORTER ADDED: “Cops here are dirty!!!! they will add weight to what you get caught with!! do not trust any cop here, if you are getting pulled over with pot, throw it out!!! ”

Where to buy marijuana: Downtown you are likely to find some, surrounded by other drugs though. It helps to know a friend. If you know NO one, go to Orphas Downtown bar on 4th and Cincinatti. Not a high class bar. Mostly old people and people off the street, weed can be found though. Be cautious. Also worth mentioning, Oklahoma has a comparitively high Indian population, most of whom smoke weed.

another reporter added: “You can find Marijuana downtown, at the University and in South Tulsa. It’s best to know a friend. Make sure you feel good about a deal before meeting someone. Cops like to go undercover sometimes. If you can, try not to meet someplace public. If you don’t know anyone, ask people in the parking lot of some head shops. Oz (Midtown headshop) will not answer any questions, and will refuse to sell to you if you say the words “Bong” or “Weed”. Try to stay away from North Tulsa, lots of gangs and violence. Something like 70 murders this past year.”

Marijuana prices:

Shwag:

1/4 ounce = $20

1/2 ounce = $35-40

1 ounce = $65-80

Prices are pretty good for what you get. You might be able to talk them down from that. If you know a good dealer, stay with them. Too many meth addicts in Oklahoma means Cops are cracking down on dealers and suppliers.

Brands: Schwagg is most popular. Difficult to find high quality, ie. kind buds or hydroponically grown buds. Cost is much higher, ie. $10 – $20 per gram.

Mostly shwag, It’s rare to find anything exceptional. If you do, however, come across some Haze, it’ll cost you. Most dealers with good stuff will sell small quanities for a big price.

More information: Buy during the day, cops only care about traffic stops during the day. At night, they will pull you over for the smallest things. If you must travel at night, use the highways throughout Tulsa to get around.

Oklahoma City, OK, Oklahoma

Smoking tolerance level [1= very illegal 5=virtually legal]: 2-3

Legislation: Possession of any amount of marijuana is punishable by up to one year in jail for the first offense and 2 – 10 years in prison for subsequent offenses. Conditional discharge is available to first time offenders.

Law enforcement: Oklahoma City cops are usually too busy dealing with real crimes to worry about them. Just stay on the north side of the city and you won’t see too many city cops.

STAY OUT OF NICHOLS HILLS AND EDMOND!!!! The cops here are vultures and will pull you over for the most miniscule things.

Where to buy marijuana: Here you kinda have to know some people to get some pot. I have never bought from some random guy off the street. It’s always a friend of mine or someone they know. So you’ll probably have to ask a stoner.

A good place to start is some of the head shops. Just ask a stoner that comes out from there if they could hook you up. Another place to look is in the arts district. There are a lot of stoners that hang there.

If you are unlucky in the city you may have to travel 20 mins to norman which is a college town and has plenty of goodies.

Marijuana prices: Kind Bud:

$20-25 per gram

$50-70 per eighth

Schwag:

30-50 per ouce (yeah, much cheaper, but less quality)

Marijuana brands: I have had many different types that have made their way to OKC:

Big Bud, Bubble Gum(delicious), Cali-haze, White Rhino, Purple Indica, Some madical grade stuff, OC KUSH, M39, AK-47, Blueberry, recently Grand Daddy Purp., and others i can’t think of. You won’t have to much of a choice when it acctually come to buying because you get what the dealer has at the time but these have been available to me before multiple times.

More information: There is plenty of bud here it is just hard to locate. Ask the right people and you will get bud. Good luck and peace.

Norman, OK, Oklahoma

Smoking tolerance level [1= very illegal 5=virtually legal]: 3

Legislation: Possession of any amount of marijuana is punishable by up to one year in jail for the first offense and 2 – 10 years in prison for subsequent offenses. Conditional discharge is available to first time offenders.

Oklahoma is a very bad place for forward thinking individuals who want to pass laws giving each and everyone of us more access to the rights and freedoms we deserve. In short, we’re the “buckle” of the “bible-belt”.

Medical use considerations were laughed at in a legisltative study commitee just recently. The verdict is still out though.

Law enforcement: The man will bust you. He will enjoy busting you. Here’s the disclaimer: in public only. Smoking indoors is at the least tolerated and at the most encouraged. Norman (norml) is a college town and that’s it. Everyone, it seems, smokes: professors, students, civilians, cops (some), nearly everyone at city hall, etc.

Where to buy marijuana: Any bartender worth his/her salt can give you a lead. With some idle chit chat and after a few drinks, they’ll tell you who is holding. The locals always know who to talk to. Remember this is a college town, so every one looks and talks like they’re from out of town. You could be a student or teacher for that matter. The best places to find weed are “the Library” on Boyd street, “Mr Bill’s” on the south side of campus, or any bar in our glorious “Campus Corner” district.

Probably the best place there is “Sugars”. There you’ll find people brave enough to loiter in public selling everything from weed to crank to LSD. Very few people here try to rip you off. Most of those types sell the dirty drugs like crank and ice.

Marijuana prices: $20 or 100 per 1/4 ounce $50 to 400 per ounce

Brands: Lots and lots of mexican commercial grade. On the other end of the scale is the BC bud and assorted hydroponics. Most of which is grown locally :).

More information: We locals refer to Norman as norml, Ok. It’s a way of expressing how many people here smoke pot. I encourage everybody who reads this and is from our christian controlled conservative state to come here. It’s safe here. Come in from the cold my brothers.

Muskogee, OK, Oklahoma

Smoking tolerance level [1= very illegal 5=virtually legal]: 2

Legislation: Oklahoma will be one of the last states to consider decriminalization, or even medical use, no matter what the facts may be . And Edmond, home of Oklahoma Christian University, will be one of the last towns in Oklahoma.Oklahoma City is encroaching on Edmond’s squeaky-clean city limits, and the powers that be don’t like it one bit. There is no “wrong side of the tracks” in Edmond, and they intend to keep it that way.

Possession of any amount of marijuana is punishable by up to one year in jail for the first offense and 2 – 10 years in prison for subsequent offenses. Conditional discharge is available to first time offenders.

Law enforcement: Cops are all pretty much crooked in Muskogee and in all of Oklahoma. Most of the time you will just get outrageous fines. Making money is the polices primary concern, most of which comes from drug and traffic violations which i assume is nationwide but especially true in Oklahoma.

Where to buy marijuana: Buying high quality marijuana is a complicated task in Muskogee and in any city in Oklahoma whereas swag on the other hand is any and everywhere you go. I would have to estimate from living here my whole life that about 90% of all smokers in Oklahoma only smoke swag and only a few of those have only had Chronic a handful of times. So you will have to definitely no someone to get the Chronic. And even then its very unstable as my average is about 3 sacks from the same person before i had to find a new source. Just ask almost anyone and you can get swag.

Marijuana prices: Swag will range from 20 an 1/8 – 50 to 60 a 1/2 – 100 to 120 Oz

But there are plenty of good deals to be found since swag is extremely abundant (2oz 100$ etc)

Kine on the other hand if you are lucky enough to find it will almost always cost you dearly. Mid and sometimes low grade will be sold at name brand prices 100-140 1/4 – 200-250 1/20z – 400-450 oz And the actual name brand in my experience is usually the same price as the mids though i have heard it going for 500 and up an oz. These are the basic prices for everywhere in Oklahoma

Marijuana brands: Most chronic is usually mid grade unknown strains which is usually just called dro by everyone around here regardless of what it actually is.

Actual strains i personally have encountered where almost all in Tulsa and are Pineapple, (improperly cured) NY Diesel, (legit as fuck) Northern Lights and Rock Bud(both allegedly from California, best I’ve had or seen in Oklahoma regardless.) I’ve yet to find name brand in Muskogee only “Dro”

More information: Muskogee along with every town in Oklahoma is a true chronic smokers hell and a cheap redneck swag smokers paradise. I cant wait to leave.

Edmond, OK, Oklahoma

Smoking tolerance level [1= very illegal 5=virtually legal]: 1

Law enforcement: Interstate 35 runs through Edmond city limits, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol as well as the Edmond local cops are well aware that it’s a straight shot from south Texas to points north. It is uncommon to drive a few miles on this stretch of interstate (or I-44 to Tulsa) without seeing one or more vehicles surrounded by Oklahoma’s finest, trunks open, K-9s hard at work or on their way. Edmond proper is every bit as bad.

No slaps on the wrist around here, either. First offense or not. Ninety nine percent of the local cops are under thirty years old, hard-core butch-cut marine-types just lookin’ to score some brownie points, and they’ll use any reason, valid or not, to pull you over and search you and your car.

A single rolling paper will get you a paraphernalia charge that’ll cost you the night in jail (if you can afford to bond out), approximately $2,000 in fines and court costs, 6 weeks of NA meetings, 6 weeks of counseling, at least 6 months probation, and probably some other stuff that they’ve thought of since my stay there.(which was less than a year ago).

The following is a local reporter’s notes on this report:

1. The article states “Ninety nine percent of the local cops are under thirty years old, hard-core butch-cut marine-types just lookin’ to score some brownie points, and they’ll use any reason, valid or not, to pull you ove r and search you and your car.”

Although pot arrests in Edmond are not uncommon, the main focus of the drug war here in Oklahoma is Meth Labs and users. If you’ve ever been out to the country in Oklahoma, you’ve seen a few geetered crackheads who look 70 but are really only 35ish. Faces sunk in, jaw movements, …etc. These people would sell their children for an 8ball. Some cops are older and even the younger ones will give you a break if you cooperate with them when you know they’re gonna find your stash anyway. I’ve been pulled over in my truck- NORML stickers and all- many times and have never been searched. I also don’t drive around with it in my car, though.

2.”No slaps on the wrist around here, either. First offense or not.”

**Personally, I have been arrested in Edmond for possession of paraphernalia along with other charges. I got a tap on the wrist and some AA meetings. However, I have also been let go many times by officers whom I was very honest with cooperative. You have to know when you’re “got”. And being dumb and speeding on the highway when you have smogged out your car is a good way to get “got”. Most of the Edmond cops aren’t out looking to bust some casual smokers/partyers who are of age.

3. “A single rolling paper will get you a paraphernalia charge that’ll cost you the night in jail (if you can afford to bond out)…

***It’s not $2000, it’s more like $350 in fines, $200 court costs. Yeah, they give you AA and probation- isn’t that considered a slap on the wrist? The judges are reasonable, just not with trafficing. Or in conjunction with other crimes/offenses. I once had a parking ticket for $250, I went to court, made my case to the Judge (Sinar) and he reduced it to half. I had pictures and everything and was pushing a trial on it, but he was reasonable.

There’s really not much to see in Edmond as far as pothead travel destinations go, and no, it’s not a “heady” town, but it’s my town and I felt I had to defend it somehow. Certain cops are gonna suck in every town, you just can be stupid and smoke in places where you’re likely to get caught. I was just put-off by this article- it made it sound like my home sucks. I’m a pothead, I live here, and I like it.”

Where to buy marijuana: Don’t even risk it. Go to Norman (very laid-back for Oklahoma. Still gotta be low-key, though.) Or at least Oklahoma City.

Marijuana prices: Plenty of decent quality Mexi-brick for $50.00 an oz. Wide variety of centerfold stuff around for $400.00 an oz. and up if you know the right folks.
