Driver’s licenses can be suspended for 30 days if the offense was committed while driving a motor vehicle.

Conditional discharge is a possibility for first time offenders.

Law enforcement: Cops are pretty lame in Winona, they don’t have much to do besides bust people for petty crimes. In most cases if you get caught you’re looking at court, fines, probation, etc. Just avoid cops, especially at night. They’re always in their squad cars, never on foot, and if you look suspicious (or have any reason for them to pull you) they will pull you over. Since it’s a small town, a little courtesy with the 5-0 goes a long way. If they ask you what you’re doing, mention something wholesome like bowling (seriously, their opinion of you will change immediately).

another reporter added: “Cops in the city of Winona will bust you in most cases if they catch you smoking, or pull you over and find weed/paraphernalia in your car, and this can result in court, probation, etc. So be careful, but it is possible to find good spots in town. Just don’t drive and smoke in town. ”

Where to buy marijuana: Just like in any small town, connections are essential. You won’t really find any dealers on the street anywhere, it’s best to know someone. The porn store on 3rd St in downtown Winona sells bowls and bongs and such, so go in and look for stoner types examining the merchandise–wait until outside the store to ask discretely though, and don’t be sketchy about it. Let them know you’re cool and smoke them up if they can hook you up. If you see any stoners around the Winona State campus, ask them discretely too. Don’t bother looking for bud at the St Mary’s campus though. Also, the disc golf courses by the lakes are good places to find stoners, again be discreet as the parks are extremely public areas. Basically any stoner types or punks (they’re cool with you as long as you’re cool with them) will at least give you a friendly pointer in the right direction.

another reporter added: “It’s all about connections. If you come across a hippie-looking person or an obvious stoner, ask discretely. Also, the local porn store sells pipes and stuff, so go in there–don’t mention weed to the employees, but if you see anyone looking at the pipes ask them outside or something.”

Marijuana prices: Usually $50-60 an eighth for good dank or beasters, $300-375 an oz. Of course, these prices depend on availability and your hookup. It’s usually dryer in the summer when the college kids are gone. Don’t expect to be able to get a hold of any amounts larger than an eighth if you don’t know anyone though, and it can take a while even if you do. Many dealers also sell by the dime (1.7g, $25-30).

Mids are usually $25 an eighth, but not very common.

another reporter added: “Usually $25-30 a dime, $50-60 and eighth depending on quality, $150-175 1/2 oz, $300-350 an oz. Usually good dank, nothing special like you can get in bigger cities but generally pretty good quality. Shwag is harder to find, but find any ghetto-looking people–warning, they will probably rip you off. ”

Marijuana brands: Most of the Winona bud is pretty good quality, but not many name brands. Beasters are common, but don’t pay 60 an eighth for them. I’ve come across blueberry, grapes, and sour diesel, but high quality strains are tough to find. Shitty brick weed is available but isn’t worth the effort or risk of losing your money.

More information: I don’t recommend smoking in the open in Winona unless you are familiar with the town and know some good spots. Don’t drive around town and smoke either. On the other hand, the county road system is great, almost no sheriffs (or anyone else except other people on roadies), beautiful scenery, and miles upon miles of empty road to explore. Or, there are beautiful river bluffs right in town with great trails, so if it isn’t winter go for a nature hike with your favorite plant. Very few people use the extensive trail system, which runs along all of the bluffs. If you don’t want to go hiking, just go up into the trees to smoke.

There are beautiful river bluffs right in town with tons of great trails, so take a little hike, or even just go up into the trees. Also, in my experience the Winona County road system is great. I’ve only seen about 3 sheriff’s cars in about 3 years of roadie-ing on the back roads, which extend all across the area. Great scenery, most of the roads are gravel but basically empty, really fun to explore while smoking.

Law Enforcement: Cops look for marijuana and sometimes find it… Don’t smoke in public and you’ll be fine.

Where to buy Marijuana in St. Cloud, MN:

Almost every student at St. Cloud State University smokes, so knowing someone would be the best way to find it. House parties are another option, where some people will bring a bag or two with them to see if they could sell to any strangers. Everybody usually knows at least one person that can find it, and since the town is so small, it takes virtually no time to actually receive bud.

St. Cloud, MN Marijuana Prices:

schwag: $50-80 an ounce, $700-900 a pound

nug: $50 an eighth, $300 plus per ounce, $1100 a QP The bomb: $60 an eighth and usually full price everything

Brands: Schwag is the usual garbage from Mexico. Can be found mostly among lower-income residents. The nugs are usually from BC and mostly just gets driven up from the Twin Cities. The high is okay, but you end up smoking more than you should have to. The bomb is always more expensive, and always gets you higher. This is usually the easiest to find, and the hardest to sell. Nobody wants to pay over $400 an ounce for personal use.

More information: St. Cloud is only 60 miles from the Twin Cities, so almost everything starts there and ends up in places like St. Cloud, Duluth, Mankato, Rochester, and Fargo, etc. It is very accepted among the students, and since the laws in Minnesota are quite lenient, the cops are usually worrying about better things than weed-smoking.

St. Paul, MN, Minnesota

Smoking tolerance level [1= very illegal 5=virtually legal]: 4

Legislation: Currently still illegal but with a bright a future.

The penalty for possession of a small amount (less than 42.5 grams) of marijuana is a fine of up to $200 and possible requirement of drug education. Possession of 42.5 grams or more of marijuana is punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine up to $10,000. Possession of 10 kilograms or more of marijuana increases the penalty to a fine up to $250,000 and up to 20 years in prison. Possession of 50 kilograms or more is punishable by up to 25 years in prison and a fine up to $500,000. For any possession of 100 kilograms or more, the penalty is up to 30 years in prison and a fine up to $1,000,000.

Possession of greater than 1.4 grams in a motor vehicle (except in the trunk) is punishable by up to one year in prison.

Conditional discharge is a possibility for first time offenders.

Law enforcement: While marijuana is not quite legal yet the police have little concern for you or your fellow stoner. Their focus is mainly concentrated on irresponsible drunk drivers.

If caught with less than the standard 42.5 grams the usual punishment is just a slap on the wrist with confiscation and a warning but this depends on the officer; St. Paul tends to be a bit more conservative than Minneapolis and hands out more annoying possession tickets than their western twin. The typical less then 1.4 g’s while driving statute is also standard.

Any more than 42.5 and you’ll sit for a few days until a judge sentences you for hefty fine plus drug education/propaganda and possible community service. If greatly exceeding 42.5g, welcome to Minnesota for the next 30 days to 2 years, winter lasts from November to April so try not to get caught then.

Where to buy marijuana: Either one of the private universities on Grand Avenue. First try should be around the Macalester campus. It’s infamously liberal especially on 4/20 when students host an annual festival. The bud can be supreme with a wide variety for the conoisseur but there is also your sub par bistros. St. Thomas is similar in quality and same with anywhere else on Grand.

Downtown St. Paul is questionable and will most likely result in a “light” bag, while south of river can definitly provide when your in need but again eye the bag before you buy.

As always it’s basically all about knowing the right person. So stick to the college campuses, everyone smokes there or atleast knows someone who does. Minnesotans are nothing but nice if asked politely.

Marijuana prices: Usually kinda expensive for what you get. Bistros: $10 for a g, $20 half 8th $30/40 8th. Dank $20 a g, $30 for a half and $50/60 full 8th.

Marijuana brands: Mostly bistros. Though some primo bud such as white widow, rhinos, hazes, kushes, diesels, wrecks, AK-47, and northern lights can all be found with the right connection.

Possession of 10 kilograms or more of marijuana increases the penalty to a fine up to $250,000 and up to 20 years in prison. Driver’s licenses can be suspended for 30 days if the offense was committed while driving a motor vehicle.

Conditional discharge is a possibility for first time offenders.

Law Enforcement: Cops are haters here, but only stupid people who talk all the time get popped. Most people in Rosemount don’t get hassled by the cops unless they are speeding or suspected drunk driving. Don’t blaze around cops, basically and your good. Also be smart if you smoke in the University owned lands (as the locals call it, “the U lands”). However the U lands are a bomb place to go exploring such as the 2 abandoned WW2 munitions factories, and miles on miles of forest and dirt roads.

Where to buy Marijuana in Rosemount, Minnesota: Around here people can get weed by asking the right people at a local gas station, or paying a visit to the skate park on highway 3. Asking strangers will usually get you a minnesota nice, yes or no. With a few exceptions of course.

Rosemount, Minnesota Marijuana Prices: During the summer the prices go up because of weed droughts here. The cops be crackin down on the large amounts coming in so it can be hard to score some during mid summer. Otherwise they are pretty steady ranging from 40-50 an 1/8 of good bistros 260+oz, for shwag/mids your gonna pay 100 dollars an oz or less if you got the hookup. Some of the best prices around are in minnesota i think.

Brands: Its mostly Bistros (good weed, but not ak47 or anything), Mids, and shwag. Anything else is probably just some idiot giving his weed a cool name.

More information: Be careful of DEA agents when buying large amounts of drugs. Only buy from people you know too keep the pigs out of the loop. Cops dont care about pot heads unless they are young, stupid, or moving weight.

When locals are busted they are usually let off with a warning and get their bag taken away. If there is paraphernalia found, you are more than likely going to get a ticket.

Police are far more strict with people from out of state!

If you are from another state you are going to get a ticket. Be careful!

Where to buy marijuana: Although there is no “weed central” in Rochester there are a few places you can go to look for a bag.

Slattery Park (10th St. and 11th Ave. SE)

East Park (1738 E. Center St.)

Peace Plaza (1st Ave and 1st St. SW)

Most stoners in the area are kind and a lot of them would make a few calls to see if they can hook you up.

“The only way to get weed in Rochester is to ask all the potheads you see!”

“A walk around town seems to yield decent results. I just asked a guy wearing a Phish t-shirt. Last time I asked a bunch of misfits chillin’ on a jungle gym.”

Law enforcement: Cops here are more focused on heroin right now as it is getting to be a big problem. But it is a small town (about 20,000), the cops get bored and they’ll bust ya for whatever they can. I have been lucky a few times in cases where police approached me saying they smell marijuana then they just let me go… It all depends on the officer you deal with and if your doing something serious like moving weight or just tokin some bowls

Where to buy marijuana: St olaf and Carlton campuses are a good place to start. otherwise its all about who you know

Marijuana prices: 40-50$ per 1/8 140+ per half oz 260+ per oz beasters

60$ per 1/8 200$ per half oz 300++ for danks

Marijuana brands: Beasters- this is the stuff thats potent but smells like a barn and usually doesn’t tastes so good like the skunks n fruits do. And the problem here is it sometimes comes to town still damp! But not always. I think most of this weed comes from canada.

Dank is usually available somewhere. Its all about who you know

Law Enforcement: Police do not actively seek out marijuana users. In the rare event that you are caught, the police will commonly confiscate it and let you go with a warning.

usually you’ll get a ticket for smaller amounts. anything over a qp gets a night or two in the holding cell and possible jailtime if the judge doesn’t give you a 152.18 (2 yrs probation). the judges are more concerned about cracking down on the massive amounts of minnesota meth-heads.

Where to buy Marijuana in Minneapolis: If you just sit on a bench in Uptown, youll probably see some guys just walking around smoking. Any freindly, stoner face on Hennepin or Lyndale is worth asking. Minnesotans are freindly, so you’ll get a freindly yes or no, either way.

“uptown is your best bet, look for people around mcdonalds and coldstone or the calhoun sqaure area, you’ll get some decent bud. but avoid junkies, they’ll always try to rip you off.”

another reporter added: “sure, uptown isn’t the worst place to find weed, but you’re more than likely to get ripped off by a couple of grams. the same really applies to all of minneapolis and the surrounding areas. if you really want a straight bag, it’s simply about knowing the right guy.”

and also “East lake street is a hotspot for drug dealing. The northside of town is where crack and weed is commonly found.”

“Hidden Beach is well known for very cheap midgrades, ask how to get to hidden beach. Most anyone can tell you how to get there”

Minneapolis, Minnesota Marijuana Prices: 50-65$ 1/8 of Dank
