Legislation: It is against the law to possess marijuana in Canada. If you have baggies, scales or other selling paraphenalia, you may be charged with trafficking.
Cannabis is schedule II in Canada (for more than 3 kg). Canada’s cannabis control laws are spottily enforced, with the west coast (British Columbia) being well known for its high quality cannabis and low levels of enforcement. In 2002, Canada’s federal government made several findings in favor of cannabis legalization and medical use approval. Although the status of medical cannabis is still in flux (sep 2002), the Canadian government has several times voiced its intention to support full medical use. Non-viable Cannabis seeds and Cannabis stalks (that do not include leaves, flowers, seeds or branches) are exempted.
In July 2000, an Ontario Court of Appeal ruled against the Canadian law because it did not address medical necessity and on July 31, 2001 a new regulation was enacted by the cabinet which addressed medical use. In January 2003, a lower Ontario court ruled simple possession laws banning cannabis unconstitutional, although it is unclear what the long term implications of this might be.
Law enforcement: The law will pretty much leave you alone unless you look like you are holding a large amount or are smoking in populated areas. Avoid downtown or Okanagan Beach (Okanagan Beach now has a Mini Police Station) and Bylaw are always patrolling down town.
Where to buy marijuana: Just about anywhere, ask people that are walking around (Obviously the stoner type) or people near 24/7. There is also a delivery if you have the right connections.
Marijuana prices: Same as just about everywhere else in BC, $10 a Gram, $20-$25 1/8th it depends who you know. In the summer due to the high number of people coming to pick fruit and consumption the prices may to up to as much as $30 an 1/8th.
Marijuana brands: As long as you do not get shake then you can expect that it is Indoor high quality or outdoor high quality, either way we have good weed. In the summer most dealers rely on people to bring in weed from Vancouver (So weed is always good)

Law enforcement: Depends on cop/amount of weed. Most are pricks, some are cool.
Where to buy marijuana: There are many drug trades that go on at the marina. You won’t know unless you’re part of them though.
Marijuana prices: Generally around 10 dollars a gram for smaller amounts. 55 dollars for 7 grams(1/4 ounce)
Depends entirely on dealer.
Marijuana brands: It’s not easy to get a specific strain, theres 100’s that have gone through town.
There’s usually a lot of good hydro, and theres always plenty of outdoor shit to go around.
Smoking tolerance level [1= very illegal 5=virtually legal]: 5
Legislation: Marijuana is legal only for medical use in Montreal, with a doctor’s permit. In January 2003, a lower Ontario court ruled simple possession laws banning cannabis unconstitutional.
Weed is illegal, besides those who have medical reasons. However, the cops are lenient and almost everyone smokes pot anyways!
Law Enforcement: Usually pretty lenient towards just pot, be nice and respectful, usually just make you dump it or throw it away.
Ottawa Police make little enforcement efforts, if any.
If a cop sees you, they will either do nothing or toss your bag depending on the cop. Some cops can be harsh, but it all depends on who you encounter. Don’t blow smoke in their face and you’ll be fine.
Smoking weed is pretty much legal here but it depends on where you go. There are a lot of places to smoke at Rideau (downtown) and at all the beaches/shorelines. basically if theres not too many people around you can light up.
Where to buy Marijuana in Ottawa: The west end is always a good bet for the best weed and least sketchy dealers. Many can be found in the suburbs at parks.
Out of towner’s – head to all the bus stops downtown that are right in front of the Rideau mall. just hang around for a bit and see who doesn’t get on a bus. Go and subtlety ask. Pot is the hardest to find (quite common now a days) and be careful not to get ripped off. Out of about 20 purchases, have been ripped off 3 times. And never give your $ first.
A local reporter added: “Carleton University – ask around the residences for herb. you’ll either meet a dealer or a stoner who can help you find what your looking for. Go the canal area at Carleton university in the middle of the afternoon, there is almost always people smoking weed there.
Go to Craig Henry park at night or evening and there will be stoners and dealers.
Don’t buy on Rideau street because the counts are shitty, the weed is crap and there are cops everywhere”
and another reporter added:”You can buy weed at Rideau under the bridges near the Rideau Shopping Center but you’ll get decent bud at best and p7 grams. You can get some pretty good weed at Legacy Skatepark (take the bus to Baseline Station) if you talk to the right pople. If you can’t find weed anywhere you could try going to a high school and just ask around but DO NOT buy off gangsters most of them are thieves around here. Also Carleton University and Algonquin College which is right by Legacy Skatepark is a good place to find weed when there are people outside.”
and also :”Just wanted to add a good place for summer visitors to Ottawa.
“Major’s Hill Park” is a good place to find sellers, you can see large circles of people sitting in the grass under trees in the park, just go up and ask who’s selling, generally guaranteed there will be someone there to tell you. (Day or night)”
Ottawa Marijuana Prices:
10 dollars a gram 50 a quarter 90 a half 170 oz 600ish qp12 hundred ish hp around 22-24 hundred for a p
$10 a gram everywhere $30 for 3.5 $40 for a Q (7g) of outdoor bud $50 for a Q (7g) of indoor/boom weed $80 for a HO (14g) of outdoor $90 for a HO (14g) of indoor/boom $150 for an OZ (28g) of outdoor $170 for an OZ (28g) of indoor/boom $550 for a QP (4OZ) of outdoor $600 for a QP (4OZ) of indoor/boom $1000 for a HP (8OZ) of outdoor $1100 for a HP (8OZ) of indoor/boom $1800 for a LB (16OZ) of outdoor $2000 for a LB (16OZ) of indoor/boom
I’m not certain on prices higher then that but the prices when you double them (like 1p to 2p indoor is $4000-$400 and then for 2p and 2p for 4p would be minus $800 and so on… )(1p and 1p to 2p outdoor would be $3600-200 and for 2p and 2p to 4p would be -$400 and so on…)

Law enforcement: Just like Toronto, the law officials know where the real harm is. Usually will let you go if you have anything less than 3.5 grams. Any more they might confiscate that and you’d probably get some sort of a ticket. Always be polite, honest (lying will only get you to more trouble) and respectful.
Where to buy marijuana: There’s a University and a College right at the same place. Need I say more?
Marijuana prices: $10 for 1 gram (locally known as “a dime”, “10 piece”, “gram”)
$25 – 30 for 1/8th of an ounce (3.5 grams, locally known as “half q” or “an eight”)
$45 – 50 for 1/4th of an ounce (7 grams, locally known as a “quarter”
$80 – 90 for 1/2th of an ounce (14 grams, locally known as “half o”) $150 – $190 for 1 ounce (28 grams, locally known as “an o”
Keep in mind the price depend on the quality. The prices above are for average to high grade hydroponics. Outdoor grown is a little cheaper while higher quality hydro and sess usually costs more. Another factor that affects the price is the specialty of the bud (eg. Purple Haze laced, Creeper Weed, Blueberry, Chinese Weed, “BC Bud” etc.)
Marijuana brands: Purple Haze Weed – Laced with purple haze. Excellent quality
Creeper Weed – You do not get high in the first 10-15 minutes of smoking it, but then it creeps onto you and suddenly you’re blitz!
Blueberry Weed – Tastes like blueberry
Chinese Weed – Not very good, weak.
“BC Bud” or “Cali Weed” – Bud imported from British Columbia or California

Legislation: Marijuana is illegal to posses, sell, distribute even for non numeration.
Law enforcement: Depends on the cop and situation. Youths generally get away with a warning or beer fine during bush parties. Adults are generally left alone if there not up to any shit. If you are caught be respectful don’t consent to a search. Parks are a Oakville stoner’s friends. plentiful and beautiful. Cops generally don’t patrol. You can get away with smoking a joint down a main street. No pipes or bongs.
Zero tollerence in or near schools. General rules for not catching a charge. Be respectful, be polite, be quiet, keep stash on you to personal ammounts (generally nothing larger than 3.5grams).
Where to buy marijuana: Most dealing is done a client basis. If you are a youth there are skaters that sell near the public library in the downtown be aware as the weed isnt that good. Good places to make friends Kerr Street bar’s, resturants, (don not ask themptations they will throw you out immediatly). downtown sports bars.
Marijuana prices: depends on who you know.
10$ per gram (this can go as low as 6$f or mids)
30$ 3.5g
60$ 7g
100-120$ half oz

There are only 2 drug squad officers in Kingston and it is fairly safe to smoke, possess, and traffic marijuana here. Most people caught with ganja are usually stopped by the police for some other reason first.
Law enforcement: There are only 2 drug squad officers in Kingston and it is fairly safe to smoke, possess, and traffic marijuana here. Downtown cops don’t care.heights go for it. just don’t smoke in rich neighborhoods, someone will prob call the cops if they c u there…so stay clear, but anywhere downtown is fine u can smoke right on the street.
Police in Kingston are well-funded and often looking to fill their quota. Although they’re more interested in speed and IV-type heavies, don’t run the risks of smoking in public.
Several back alleys and private parking lots are accessible up and down the main drag where people will have no trouble with you smoking, so take the slightest precaution and you’re all good. Unlike what the previous poster said, you most definitely can not just walk up and down the street smoking weed in the more populated areas, although this is true in the suburbs.
Where to buy marijuana: In front of the church across the street from Tim Horton’s, at the corner where the bikers park their rides and hang out. This spot is often populated by junkies and low-lives, and is an opportune place for low-lives like us to cop a dime. For whatever reason, the police don’t seem to bother with that corner, even though it’s not a particularly bad part of town.
Our Latest Reports tell us: “Downtown in the Hub ( the club area on Princess St.), other than that, a tourists best bet might be Ontario St (waterfront), or the college or university. If all else fails drive around north of princess, there are many drug dealers in this area but it may be hard to find them without connections.”
Hard to find without connections, but you may be able to score some chronic downtown, just ask around, lots of people who party at the clubs will most likely help u out..there’s clubs everywhere so ask around wen people are standing outside them, or check the malls, ask around there. you could get it in the heights, but unless u know ppl its kinda hard(bad neighborhood). If nothing the mall is the best chance. Or if u go downtown near the smoke shops(hemporium is your best bet) ask people who are going in and out of the store, there all ganja smokers.
Marijuana prices: latest info: 10/gram, 25/half quarter (3.5g), 50-60/quarter, 150-190/oz (depending on who you know)
Marijuana brands: Mostly high quality hydro throughout the year but during harvest season you might be stuck with outdoor which is usually still decent.
More information: Try not to ask people who don’t look trust worthy, Because u may get jacked…there’s alot of people here who r like that. You may be able to find bud at the plaza strip club, but ripoffs are common there.
Much or most of Kingston’s hash is tainted with fillers (e.g.; weed, sand, rabbit crap, & petroleum). It is worth it to pay more money for proper hash.

Law enforcement: Police will generally just take your marijuana, and give you a talking to if you’re not known to them, in larger amounts then a quarter ounce on your person you may be booked.
Our reporter also added: “I’ve never had a problem – cops are usually more concerned with bigger drug busts. Although recently there’s been a lot more hype about bud in Kelowna, most people here (that I know) either smoke it or don’t care about it. Like the rest of BC, it’s pretty open, but be aware that Kelowna is a slightly more conservative community.”
another reporter added: “it’s true that in this area the cops tend to go for the bigger busts and not the private smoker. But i suggest that any fellow stoners don’t toke up in any of the residential neighborhoods even in the back alleys, as most neighborhoods are members of the neighborhood watch and will be more than happy to phone the police if they even catch a wiff of that skunky smell. I have been caught in the Glenmore area 3 times in the last year alone. and I strongly recommend that a stoner stays out of the downtown area while high because there are quite a few cops that patrol the area on foot I’ve seen a few dogs there as well. When I am high I tend to feel like extremely paranoid while in downtown and it feels like there is a cop wherever i go. ”
Where to buy marijuana in Kelowna:
Downtown, on the streets if you find the head shops, ask some of the stoner types loitering the are, if you go to Rutland ask around at the skate park. There is also a delivery service in town, if you know who to ask.
another reporter added: “the best place for a first time Kelowna buyer looking for dealers is to hang around the downtown area or some of the slum areas. look for potential stoners and ask them. bring $5 with u cause that info tends not to come cheap. if u are really bummed out and desperate, like the general review talk to the kids at Ben Lee skate park in Rutland. but don’t trust them. in my early stoner days i was led into an ally with promises of “a golden nugget” and they tried to mug me.
Hashish oil and resin are extremely rare in this region of Canada. if ur looking to try some u can either make ur own ( im sure webehigh.com can refer u to a good site for making hash. or visit Ontario where hashish and oil and resin are almost as abundant as pot itself although it costs quite a bit more.”
Latest info says: The main bus stop downtown (Queensway) is a good place to ask around, it’s also right by one of the smoke shops, I have seen many tourists and dads in their 40’s scoring weed there, but be warned there are security guards. they usually don’t really care if you keep it on the down low though. close to the bus station is City Park in the warmer months you can usually find people blazing in the park in groups.
Kelowna marijuana prices: Prices aren’t much different than the rest of BC – 10 bucks a gram is regular. Most of the time, though, you can get it cheaper (20 bucks for an 1/8th, etc, depending on the dealer and strain). Prices can vary depending on the strain, but generally it’s just the somewhat-lower-than-usual BC prices.
Our local reporter also added: “Regular prices, $10 a gram, $25 an eighth, $45 a quarter etc.”
and another reporter added: ” the Kelowna prices are generally lower than in Vancouver. but it’s still 10 bucks for a gram. the prices tend to go down with the higher amount you buy. if you are on a tight budget and like to smoke nearly everyday i know a few anonymous local dealers who sell bunk weed at 5 grams a dollar. this stuff tastes like shit and only gets u high for 5 mins but the more u smoke the bigger the high right. i remember buying 20 grams and smoking it all in 10 mins with 2 other friends. unfortunately it only lasted for 1/2 hour after the blaze. and let me tell u the burnout is killer after smoking that shit. if ur seriously into smoking u can buy an ounce for $150, of course that is the low grade stuff the higher u go the more it costs. ”
Brands: Usually very high quality marijuana, if you look the type people may try to sell you trim or “shake” as it’s called here
More information: Kelowna is generally a decent town for smoking, most people aren’t to concerned if you smoke a joint or a bowl in an alley or behind a building as long as you don’t cause trouble and don’t hang around for too long. Police generally go after the larger dealers, and not the personal smokers. Rutland is an area to try to find marijuana if you’re out of ideas.
A lot of the weed from Vancouver is imported from the Okanagan there are lots of secret greenhouses hidden not fay off in the forest near Kelowna. these are only accessible by dirt bikes of course as not to draw too much attention from the local police. and yes its true there is a local delivery service. and trust me when i say it’s growing.
